TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

 My students will be exposed to the fundamentals of playing the flute, a variety of effective learning strategies and techniques, inspirational repertoire in addition to audition and recital opportunities. Individual curricula are developed for varying levels of skill: from beginner levels through high school students preparing for college auditions, advanced flutists who are preparing for competitions and auditions, and adult students who are seeking to rejuvenate and polish their skills.

I recognize the potential in each one of my students. My goal is to assist my students to realize their musical goals. I seek students who have a passion for learning their flute as a means to appreciate music for a lifetime. By playing an instrument and developing effective practice skills, traits like dedication, determination, perseverance, and, most of all, patience are achieved. The rewards, including increased confidence, elevated musical awareness and focus, inspirational artistry, and the camaraderie enjoyed by collaborating with other like minded musicians, are priceless.
